ABOUT

“Apache” is an Armenian snack brand that defines itself through a spirit of adventure, independence, and "living out loud." More than just a producer of high-quality chips, Apache has built a lifestyle brand that resonates with urban youth culture. By embracing the bold aesthetics of street art, extreme sports, and self-expression, Apache has become a symbol of modern Armenian identity—vibrant, unapologetic, and always pushing boundaries. Whether it's through intense flavors or daring marketing, Apache is designed for those who seek excitement in every aspect of their lives.

TASK

The objective was to create a dark, cinematic, and rebellious commercial for Apache that bridges the gap between snack culture and the art of tattooing. The task was to move entirely away from the traditional "food" aesthetic and instead focus on identity and self-expression. We aimed to visualize the brand’s bold character by showing it as a mark of belonging—something as permanent and personal as a tattoo. The video needed to feel underground, mysterious, and visually arresting to capture the attention of a subculture-driven, urban audience.

SOLUTION

The Brandon team utilized a low-key, high-contrast visual style dominated by shadows and sharp, focused lighting. In the video, we created a parallel between the precision of a tattoo needle and the "sharp" intensity of the Apache brand. We focused on extreme close-ups: the mechanical movement of the tattoo machine, the ink on skin, and the textured surface of the chips appearing through the darkness. By using a slow, atmospheric, and heavy soundtrack, we emphasized the "weight" and seriousness of the brand's identity. The result is a provocative and artistic narrative that positions Apache not just as a snack, but as a bold statement of individuality.
